Since I started my nutrition coaching career in 2018, my mission has been to help and empower my clients to overcome their most challenging obstacles to reaching their nutrition and wellness goals. My passion for educating people about nutrition while teaching them how to enjoy the foods that they love drives me to be the best coach I can possibly be.
My coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in the Intuitive Eating principles and a body-neutral perspective that teaches clients how to heal their relationship with food and discover body appreciation and respect. I preach and teach that ALL FOODS FIT and I help my clients find balance and peace in eating, and stop the cycle of yo-yo dieting or crash dieting.
I am a registered and certified dietitian in the state of Wisconsin with extensive experience studying and working with behavior change theory, motivational interviewing, and working in the research and development of nutrition education programs.
I am confident that I am fully equipped to help you make the necessary behavior changes and give you the tools you need to sustain these changes for life!
I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2016 from The University of Mississippi and completed my graduate degree at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where I graduated with my Masters of Science in Nutrition.
I am certified in Diabetes Prevention and I am also a certified nutrition coach through the Tony Stephan Nutrition Coach Certification Program, an organization recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
I am a full-time associate professor in dietetics and I am passionate about education! I enjoyed teaching a graduate course on Motivational Interviewing in Nutrition and Fitness and focusing on weight-neutral concepts.
I was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as Treasurer-elect for 2023-2024.
When I am not working or pouring myself into clients, you'll find me in the kitchen cooking, hiking outdoors, or reading the latest thriller novel. I also enjoy developing recipes in my free time. My messy test kitchen is my happy place! Check out my recipes.
I believe that nutrition and exercise go hand-in-hand, and the mind-body connection is necessary to reach optimal wellness and feel good in your own skin.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
It is rewarding for me to coach clients through their journey to better health and witness them making significant changes in their lives. I am thrilled to work virtually with clients and guide them from a body-neutral perspective to reach their fitness goals, and guide them to healthier, happier lives. I focus on a less-extreme approach than body positivity; I want you to get your body moving and ultimately feel great. My goal is for you to be kinder to yourself and acknowledge the incredible things your body can do!
