Meet Meagan
REGISTERED DIETITIAN • CERTIFIED INTUITIVE EATING COUNSELOR • CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER
Since I started my dietetics career in 2018, my mission has been to help others overcome the most challenging obstacles of their nutrition and health goals. My passion for educating others about nutrition while teaching them how to eat intuitively and enjoy the foods they love drives me to be the best dietitian and counselor I can be.
My counseling philosophy is ingrained in the Intuitive Eating Principles: Rejecting the Diet Mentality, Honoring Your Hunger, Making Peace with Food, Respecting Your Body, and Honoring Your Health. I approach exercise from body-neutral perspective that teaches clients how to heal their relationship with food and discover appreciation for their body.
I am a registered and licensed dietitian with extensive experience studying and working with behavior change theory, motivational interviewing, and working in research and development for nutrition education programs.
I am confident that I am fully equipped to help you make the necessary behavior changes and give you the tools you need to sustain these changes for life!
I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Mississippi and completed my Masters degree in Nutrition at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

I am certified in Diabetes Prevention and I am also a certified nutrition coach through the Tony Stephan Nutrition Coach Certification Program, an organization recognized by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
I am certified in Intuitive Eating Counseling through The Original Intuitive Eating Pros Program, developed and lead by the co-authors of Intuitive Eating: Evelyn Tribole, MS, RD, CEDRD-S, and Elyse Resch, MS, RD, CEDRD-S, FAND.

I am a full-time Assistant Professor in dietetics and I am very passionate about education. One of my favorite graduate courses to teach is on Motivational Interviewing in Nutrition and Fitness that focuses on teaching counseling from a weight-neutral approach.

When I am not working or pouring myself into clients, you'll find me in the kitchen cooking, hiking outdoors, or reading the latest thriller novel. I also enjoy developing recipes in my free time. My messy test kitchen is my happy place! Check out my recipes.
I believe that nutrition and exercise go hand-in-hand, and the mind-body connection is necessary to strive for optimal wellness and feel good in your own skin.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I am thrilled to work virtually with clients from a body-neutral perspective to reach their fitness goals, and guide them to live healthier, happier lives. I focus on a less-extreme approach than body positivity; I want you to get your body moving and ultimately feel great. My goal is for you to be kinder to yourself and acknowledge the incredible things your body can do!
